Tooloom National Park's scrub rainforest is World Heritage Listed and includes important areas of red and flooded gum. There are ten species of kangaroos and wallabies in the park, including the threatened long nosed potoroo.

Tooloom Falls is a place of significant importance to Aboriginal peoples. It is know as Dooloomi and is a place of myth.
